Community Guidelines
SkyISO is a community for aviation photography and videography. These guidelines explain what is allowed and what is not. By using SkyISO, you agree to follow them.
📤 Upload confirmation (Photos & Videos)
Every time you tap Upload Shot in the app, you confirm the following. This replaces any separate upload disclaimer in the upload screen — the full rules live here.
- The photo or video is your own spotting content, or you have explicit permission from the rights holder to share it.
- You are solely responsible for this upload and any legal consequences (copyright, privacy/data protection, personality rights, prohibited content, local laws).
- The content is aviation-related (aircraft, airports, airshows, museums, spotting) — not off-topic material.
- The content does not contain offensive, sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory material.
- The content does not violate copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other third-party rights.
- You have respected local laws, airport security rules, and the spotting permissions described above.
- Photos are optimized to 1600 px JPEG before upload; videos must meet the in-app limits (length and file size).
By uploading, you also accept the relevant provisions of our Terms of Service (User Content licence, moderation, copyright) and Privacy Policy (processing of uploads and metadata).
✅ Allowed Content
- Aircraft photos and videos (commercial, military, private, historic)
- Airport, ramp, hangar, museum, and airshow spotting content
- Respectful captions, aircraft types, and aviation-related discussion
- Your own work or content you have permission to share
📷 Spotting, Copyright & Permissions
SkyISO is built for plane spotters and aviation photographers. You are responsible for every upload. SkyISO is an independent aviation community — not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, or other social networks.
Your photos and videos
- Upload only content you photographed or filmed yourself, or content you have explicit permission to republish.
- Do not re-upload images or videos from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, JetPhotos, Airliners.net, airline websites, press kits, or other platforms without the rights holder’s consent.
- You keep copyright to your work. By uploading, you grant SkyISO a limited license to display your content in the app (see Terms of Service).
Music & audio in videos
- Your video keeps its original audio by default (engine noise, ambient airport sound, etc.).
- You can optionally mute the original audio in the upload editor if you prefer a silent clip.
- Do not add copyrighted songs or third-party tracks to your video file before upload unless you have the rights.
Airline liveries & trademarks
- Aircraft liveries, airline logos, and airport branding may appear in spotting photos. That is normal for aviation photography.
- Do not use SkyISO to imply endorsement by an airline, airport, or manufacturer.
- Do not use airline or airport trademarks as your profile identity or in a misleading commercial way.
Where you shoot (local laws & airport rules)
- Follow local laws, airport security rules, and posted signage. SkyISO does not encourage trespassing or unsafe behaviour.
- Do not publish content that reveals restricted security areas, credentials, or sensitive operational details where prohibited.
- Respect privacy: avoid close-ups of passengers, crew, or licence plates where inappropriate.
- Military and government aircraft may be subject to extra restrictions in your country — know the rules before you post.
If someone claims your upload infringes their rights
We may remove content after a valid report. Repeat or serious infringement can lead to account suspension. Copyright holders can send a formal notice as described in Terms of Service §9 or email skyiso.support@gmail.com.
🚫 Not Allowed
- Sexual or adult content of any kind
- Nudity or sexually suggestive imagery
- Violence, gore, or shocking content unrelated to aviation
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
- Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or other protected characteristics
- Illegal content or content promoting illegal activity
- Non-aviation spam, ads, or unrelated uploads
- Copyright violations — do not upload others’ photos/videos without permission
- Vote manipulation — no voting for your own uploads, fake accounts, vote trading, or automated voting
- Impersonation of airlines, airports, photographers, or other users
- Private or sensitive information (e.g. personal data of crew/passengers, security-restricted areas where prohibited)
Messages & Comments
Be respectful. Do not send unwanted sexual content, harassment, scams, or spam through comments or direct messages.
🔗 Sharing posts (links only)
SkyISO lets you share posts with a link — not by downloading or exporting the media file. This keeps credit with the pilot and brings people back to the community.
- Share link (feed or post detail) sends a URL like
/p/{postId}with text that credits the pilot (e.g. “Photo by [name] on SkyISO”). - Link previews in WhatsApp, iMessage, and similar apps may show the post title, pilot name, and a thumbnail — the recipient opens the shot in SkyISO.
- Do not save, screenshot-repost, or re-upload another pilot’s photo or video to Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms without their explicit permission.
- SkyISO does not provide “Save to gallery” or “Post to Instagram” for other users’ content.
- Sharing your own uploads elsewhere is your choice — you keep copyright; please credit SkyISO where appropriate if you link back.
Deutsch — Teilen & Speichern
In SkyISO teilst du Beiträge per Link (z. B. /p/…), nicht als Datei-Download. Der Share-Text nennt den Piloten („Photo by … on SkyISO“).
Details: Nutzungsbedingungen §3.1.
